Yes! I have a Vintage D (adi/rw) bought used in Toronto and I play it all the time. Incredible tone, volume and projection. Great balance through all registers. Neck is comfortable. Fit and finish are spot on. PS: Bourgeois prices are a lot more "user friendly" that Collings. Would buy another. I'm that impressed. Ce

I've got a Dread in Mad Rose with an Adi top, basically a Sig model dread. Great guitar with a really nice tone and one heck of a fast and easy neck. Doesn't have the "cut" for a big jam that a Collings might, but solo I prefer it over the Collings dreads I have had.
i have a bunch of them and one almost done.......hide glue, slope d, hog and adi, square head, short scale
i also have a maple and euro DB, all over ice tea burst.
all mahogany slope d
country girl OM, (an OM appointed like a country boy deluxe)
and a very special guitar- vintage d in honduran rosewood and adi, cutaway. this was one of two guitars that were made for doc watson (ricky skaggs gave him one of them for his 80th birthday). doc got the indian and adi one and i bought the other from the summer namm show that year.
i've had and sold quite a few more. all nice guitars. GAS just overcomes most. i'd be hard pressed to sell the DB though. it is wicked to look at and wicked to play.

Cool everyone has great things to say!!! I am having a JOM Adi/Mahog built. It will be done on the 18th. Flammed Koa binding and cust. tobacco busrt. No inlay on fret board. No pick guard. Cant wait for it!!!!! I will post some picks when it arrives. Thanks for the input. I would love photos if anyone has more cartermclean@gmail.com Cheers
In my opinion Bourgeois guitars are the best deals going . In terms of craftmanship, wood selection , playability & tone, they are hard to beat, for their price range. I have a slope sb Adi/ koa which looks & sounds wonderful. It holds it's own next to a D45v& half the price.

As much as I like Bourgeois, there is one thing that I feel holds them back a little....the finish. Perhaps I am just a traditionalist, but do feel that a thin, nitro finish has a positive impact on tone not only as a new instrument, but over the life of the instrument as well. Although I am satisfied with my Bourgeois and happy I own it, I can't help but wonder what that "holy grail" Adi top would sound like if it were not encased forever within a layer of plastic. I have wondered if using the kind of finish they do is less labor intensive and perhaps is the reason they can use such high grade wood and still keep their prices down.

fyi...Collings guitars have a uv poly base coat under their nitro finish. They are not truly "traditional" nitrocellulose guitars like Martins.
As far as I am concerned, as long as the finish is very thin and well done, it doesn't really matter if its nitro or poly. They each have their advantages and they each work well.
