I have known people that have bought from them, but most all their business is on line. Don't know anyone off hand that has actually gone there.
And I have thought about it, then realized it is probably best I don't go any where near that place.

Never heard anything bad about them.

I came across and purchased a SCGC H Model 12-fret slothead at Guitar Gallery two or three years ago while checking shops on the internet. Nice folks to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Thanks guys,

I realized yeterday that ...what's the name of that store...the one that once bitten put his Borges in for resale. Anyway.. oh yeh, Cotton..is in the same neck of the woods. That means I can go to both places. I'd love to try that Borges, I'll tell you that.

So I'll be looking at camping areas and stuff (state park of some sort) and take the family down. Or hotels with water slides. Depends on if its the spring vacation or the summer vacation. Sounds decadent, but we ususally camp in the summer time to keep costs down.

If anyone knows that neck of the woods, you can let me know what interesting outdoor things there are to do/visit.

RickS. On other thread, requested you provide a reivew of your Hamblin if you ever bought one (small builder thread).

Stuart

Stuart,
LOTS to see and do in East Tenn. in the spring or summer. Just don't spend all your time in the geetar shops. Too many to list here but if you go to Nashville, you HAVE to visit the Opry.
And don't forget Gruhn's for a guitar shop must. Just go east on Broadway from where Cotten is. LOL

Never did get another Hamblin. Didn't have the patience to wait out his lead time. I did get a Jamie Kinscherff though, and got to meet him and tour the shop back in July in Texas.

Shoot me a mail or PM and I'll fill ya in on both.

The Gibson Showcase and mandolin factory on Briley Parkway are also worth a stop in Nashville.

thanks guys, It'll either be guitar gallery and cotton or the Podum direction. Two stops max. Appreciate the input.

I'll look at the venu at the opry.

I stopped by and visited Robin at Guitar Gallery a few years back when I was on the road in that neck of the woods. If you dig her inventory, then go... She knows her stuff very well and has everything there that's on the site. A good place to play a wide variety of high-end built guitars.

I just ordered a custom Calton from her.

Still trying to get all the ducks in a row.

Have tentatively sold the Lowden to a fellow in North Carolina. Was going to visit Dream and test out a few guitars. Then maybe visit Tennesee and stop by in Nashville to hear a littel flat picking. And perhaps to a cabin in West Virginia for a few days. I think I'll take the Collings too. I'm always up at the crack of dawn and love to play guitar in the morning. Just hope they don't give me grief crossing back over the boarder - since my Collings still looks new.

Meanwhile, I'll hand deliver the Lowden (meeting at Dream store).

But complications. Was going to go first week in June. Thought I had a conflict with the Healdsburg festival, and turns out I don't. So I could go to California, but if went there, would go in August. So I'm a little up in the air.

But likely will simply head down to Dream in June.

Robin sold some stuff I was interested in trying recently. But Dream has some cool guitars.
