I would have to agree with the quality issues, I have a Greven DX (J200ish) that John had to put a new neck on not too long after I got it. Fit and finish is ok, tone is subjective,so I won't go there.

As mentioned, contact the many owners and fans on the APM Forum who have played and owned many, many, many different models and wood combos by this builder. Lot's of experience and insight.
