Peter, I have a Madagascar/European Goodall CJ that is unbelievably nice / rich sounding. It's probably not what you'd want in a bluegrass mix but since I've never played a G-run in my life it is great for me (I have a few Collings as well). I personally think the koa/cedar wood combo in a Goodall parlor would be lights-out. You should drop Kim a note and see what she says about it. She'll shoot straight.

There's a Goodall Parlor that just came in at our local shop, Glades Guitars. Compared to my Thompson T2 (00), the Goodall has a darker, warmer voice and of course that exquisite Goodall construction and design.
