Josh Williams, Down Home. Tony Rice, his "dear friend and mentor", guesting on Blue Railroad Train. A great version of Cherokee Shuffle. Rhonda Vincent on harmony vocals. Great CD!

Tom F. A nicer guy you'll never meet. A weekend at Peaceful Bend last May shot Josh to the top of my list. A great singer, great player. I was into Itunes the minute that CD came out! There's a great Youtube of Cherokee Shuffle with Josh, Andy F, Critter...et al

Doc, it was that YouTube video that first turned me on to Josh's playing. Watched it a bunch, and later bought the DVD from which it came (Live at the Station Inn). I then spent some quality time learning Cherokee Shuffle from the Mickey Abraham TAB in FGM's Fiddle Tune Issue. Great tune, and a blast to play on the D1A Varnish (the OMs know I'm going with the Dread on that one every time ). I've got Josh's CD in the car player right now, and I'll be listening on the way to work this morning. Highly recommended.

The Stanley Brothers "An Evening Long Ago" 1956 duo live recording. Carter Stanley's voice still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck

Jim S: me, too. If you haven't, check Lloyd's "Forest Flower". And say hello to Brooks and Thalia Street in Laguna Beach next time you head north on Hwy. 1. Lots of memories for me there, a ghost, really. tom

Yes, I have "Forest Flower" on Lloyd's "Voice in the Night" CD and like it a lot. Some of his best playing (IMO) on that album and "The Water is Wide". Ah... Thalia and Brooks. You will find me often at the corner of Brooks and PCH. My favorite sushi restaurant is there: San Shi Go. Ask for Yoshi and give him free rein.
