I wonder what Vinnie's rates are. I absolutely HATE building percussion tracks when I'm recording stuff. Working with me could (would) bring him to a new low ...

About $150/hr.

Although he may charge a premium since his name has been mentioned in a Zappa tune.

redavide, I first saw Tal Wilkenfeld on the stage with Beck at the Crossroads Festival. when she went on I thought she was a tech assistant, or his daughter or something. Holy moley. She blew my mind (and Jeff's). On the short track to be mentioned with Jack Bruce and jaco pastorius. Just..... unreal. In the best way. without a metronome. tom

Tom F -
You said it man. Truth. Without Truth there would be no Led Zeppelin. Page said it, not me.
I saw Beck, Ron Wood, Rod Stewart and a drummer (sorry don't recall his name) play the Truth album at the Fillmore East. Geez. Stewart was so shy he hid behind the amps half the night. I think he got over his shyness.

He was better when he hid behind amps. Beck-ola's an all-time favorite -- check out Rod on "All Shook Up" . . .

I guess coltrane and miles were noodlers too. Becks a genius, his band is phenomenal.
