I'd love to see that show, but this summer's economics mean that the only live music I'll be seeing is when I'm performing. Re Son House: Ocean Beach 1969, weekend leave from USN, went to a club with no idea who was going to be playing. He came out with his old National, sat on a chair, and made time stand still. It was very close to supernatural. I get gooseflesh just thinking about it. It's one thing to play the blues, and quite another to BE the blues, and Eddie "son" House was exactly that. tom
I was fortunate to experience the same feelings you speak of sonoman. It was back in the very early 70's in a very small venue, and this guy had indeed recorded with E.C.,they went by the name "The Bluesbreakers" which I'm sure you are well aware of,his name Mr.John Mayall and boy could he blow a harp! Here is a clip of "Parchman Farm" from 1966. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQtZiRQjI9w

I never did see John, but I saw some his famed disciples, Eric, Mick, Peter, MacVie, and Fleetwood (the latter three in the original (to me, the real) Fleetwood Mac. Whew. Long time coming, long time gone. tom
