OK, it's my oldest offspring or would that be offsprung at this point? From a recent gig in Pittsburgh with The Rustlanders.A sunburst Fender Jazz bass is one of my favorite guitar images.

Tal Weklenfeld. Looks like a high school girl and plays like Jaco Pastorius or Jack Bruce. Just..... beyond the pale. I first saw her, as most did, playing with Jeff Beck at the Crossroads festival. I could not believe it. Still can't. Sheesh. tom
Sir Camper, I'm so old that I actually saw Traffic, with Winwood and Mason. What an amazing band. Steve has one of the most distinctive, best voices in rock, and Mason is/was a vastly under-rated songwriter. Alone Together is still one of my faves all time- possibly because it was at its apex during our brief torrid courtship, mid 1970. tom p.s. Your son looks like he goes to the same stylist/botique as does our youngest son, also a bass player/keyboard player/drummer/guitarist. He started on guitar, but saw all the grief I went through trying to keep bands together with no rhythm section. Guitar players, as we know, are a dime a hundred, but good bass players and drummers are endangered species. tm
cowboycamper, a lot of those concerts made it into the novel, but it's about 66 and 67, so Traffic wasn't there quite yet. One aspect of Along Together I will never forget is that, right after I bought my first car- a 1970 yellow VW bug- in Hawaii, as I drove out of the parking lot on my way to my first date with the woman who would change my life forever, World In Changes came on KPOI. Little did I know. In fact, little do I know, but that's another issue. And having one or more of your bloodline pick up the music and run with it is gratifying beyond description. Our youngest son and our oldest daughter both play, and have been in many bands- some of them very good indeed. I love it. tom
