Just got David's new CD yesterday. As usual, it's stellar playing. This live CD has his inter-song storytelling, which I don't care for much, but it's a great collection of flatpicking. Amazing tone and execution for a live recording. And this isn't just for flatpickers. Sure there are fiddle tunes, but a couple of pop tunes too. Just amazing playing that any guitarist could appreciate.

Yes, solo. So the actual songs are similar to I've Got the House to Myself.

I bought this CD two weeks ago at one of his solo gigs and workshops. It's a fantastic recording. It's what I was hoping I've Got the House to Myself would be. I agree about all the talking-I like it, but once is enough. The great thing is the talking is on separate tracks so it's easy to make a playlist of just the tunes. His take on Red Haired Boy is truly jaw dropping.
