Actually, this one was first. Sutton, Stafford and Hurst were second (I got to attend the taping of that one!), and now there is Kilby, Davis and May.

Kenny is the epitomy of relaxed, and I too really like Song for Emily.

It seems to me that the Neumann mics sound better in this setting than the AKG (or is that a Shure?). It is interesting to hear two newer Brazilian guitars compared to Kenny's pre-war D18.

So you're the guy who *whoops* when Stafford mentions Mountain Heart! Big Grin

What was this thread originally about? Oh yeah...Grier and his guitar. So the NGC he's playing in this DVD is brazilian, eh?

Nope. I'm not that big of a Mountain Heart fan. Although, I do like Clay Jones.

Right. I thought it was mahogany based on his penchant for D18s and the styling of the guitar, but somewhere on his website he mentioned that it was braz/adi.

His disarming personality.... What a nice man and a super human being!

Disturbing is more like it. Caught his act at Wintergrass once. A group of Japanese bluegrass fans who were there just for the festival asked him for his autograph. While I guess trying to be funny for his friends, he profanely berated them while signing, assuming they could not speak english. Unfortunately, this was a bad assumption on his part as several were visibly embarrassed - as we all were. Great player, not so sure about the nice man part.

I would love to see the tab for his Cheatum. I'm wearing out the 1 bits on the CD. And this D1A _needs_ to know.

A shout out for Lincoln Meyers! Guitarsteve, if he's your teacher, you are one very fortunate dog.

Yeah, Lincoln can play like few people I've heard. I don't take many lessons anymore, maybe one every couple on months. It's worth the cost to just to pick with that guy....I always leave inspired to be a better player. If anyone is in NH or MA and is looking for flatpicking lessons, I highly recommend Lincoln.
