Well, I just finished the final master for a CD project on which I'm co-producing, mixing and playing some guitar (electric, acoustic, lap steel and bass). Victoria Woodworth, a local Denver singer songwriter, has put down 12 great songs in the country/country-rock genre. I was lucky enough to be invited by the drummer to record a lead track on one tune. I like the songs so much, and Vicky liked my playing enough, that I ended up playing on most of the tunes. The basic tracks were recorded at a local small but professional studio. The initial mixes were so dismal that the drummer and I convinced Vicky to bring all the raw tracks (from ProTools) to me for the final work. I am very happy with the results, although the songs are so good and Vicky's singing is so strong, that it would be hard to make it bad. If we get the label layout done this weekend it will go to the duplicator on Monday. I hope to be announcing the release in 3 or 4 weeks. I feel privileged to be working on this project and I'm honored to have my name in the credits on the CD.
Stay tuned...

I think this is the project you told me about in March in Austin, I've been waiting to hear it ever since. I hope that you will offer the finished project for sale when it becomes available. I'm taking off on vacation this week and will buzz you up if we end up going thru Denver.

Yes, it is the same project. I'm still very excited about it. Yes, it will be for sale. We're going to order 1000 copies. I don't own or have control of the CDs, but I know Vicky wants to sell them, why else order 1000, and I'm pretty sure she will give me as many as I want and permission to post samples.
Yes, let me know if you pass through Denver. We can get together and look at guitars.
