Wow...I would love to see/hear that. At least there is a lot of Michael's playing on youtube.

I just downloaded Robert Bowlin's "six string soliloquy" - words fail me. He's a master of his art.

A few years ago I attended the Nashville Guitar College weekend in Nashville, which was hosted by Marty Lanham. Robert Bowlin was one of the instructors. The tone and volume he pulled from his om dispelled the "dreads or nothing" attitude that most bluegrassers, including me, have or had. Hes an awesome picker, great fiddler too.

Great choices thus far... I'd have to agree with a lot of what I've seen to this point.

Collingscowboy: I fully agree with your addition of Kottke... through the years, he's put out some amazing music.

Martin Simpson
Pierre Bensusan
Leo Kottke
Pete Huttlinger
Laurence Juber
Tommy Emmanuel

In no particular order:
Stefan Grossman
Leo Kottke
Tommy Emmanuel
Chet Atkins
Joscho Stefan
Frank Vignola
Paco Pena

There are several others as well (too many to mention) who I enjoy listening to, but those mentioned here are all guitar players I listen to on a regular basis that have held my attention ever since first hearing each of them.
