My son (the heir to the Jack Lawrence D2H - my daughter gets the 000-2H) forwarded the following:

"The current August issue of "Acoustic Guitar" has a full page Collings guitar advert featuring my Collings OM2H. Looks good. The Sweet Black Angel with road scars. ("And the scratches on its face told of all the times he'd fell, singin' and the stories he could tell." --John Sebastian.) Collings is the best made acoustic steel string maker in the world. Bar none. Andrew Hardin just bought a dreadnought version. Taylors and Martins do not measure up. One man's opinion."

Russell is not a great guitarist - poor devil plays like me! - but he's tied with Ian Tyson for the best living singer-songwriter - IMO.

Peter.
