I saw SRV when I was 14 years old, I believe Soul To Soul had just been released. There might have been about 2000 people in attendance at the most, and it was back when places still had festival seating. He stood up there drenched in sweat, and to my amazement, played a few Hendrix tunes (I didnt know at the time that ANYONE could play a Hendrix tune like the master himself lol, I was amazed). The radio stations wouldnt play SRV back then when you requested it, they would offer to play Fabulous Thunderbirds instead.

I wish SRV was still here, who knows what he would be up to.
